No Child’s Play Exhibit Grand Opening Event

Tuesday, January 11, 2022

Enjoy a musical performance by the Holocaust Survivor Band at 5:00 p.m. Then, beginning at 6:00 p.m., Marlene W. Yahalom, PhD., Director of Education for the American Society for Yad Vashem, will be the opening speaker for the No Child’s Play Exhibit. The No Child’s Play exhibit opens a window into the world of children during the Holocaust. It does not focus on history, statistics or descriptions of physical violence. Instead, images of the toys, games, artwork, diaries, and poems displayed here highlight some of the personal stories of the children, to provide a glimpse into their lives during the Holocaust. This exhibit is curated by Yad Vashem and on loan from The American Society for Yad Vashem. Sponsored by City of Parkland, Parkland Friends of the Library and Jewish Federation of Broward. Parkland Library card required to register. To register visit www.cityofparkland.org/library or call (954)757-4207.
