I am a new resident and what is the process for recycling in the City of Parkland?
The City of Parkland requires that residential property owners recycle and utilize Waste Management for the collection of recyclable materials. Waste Management will provide each residential customer with one - 64 gallon rollout cart (white with green lid) which is to be used for all accepted recyclable materials. Pick-up of recyclable materials occurs once per week and shall be placed curbside with the regular garbage on your scheduled recycling day. Acceptable materials include:
Newspapers and inserts
Plastic containers, number 1 - 7
Magazines, catalogs, and phone books
Juice boxes, cardboard boxes flattened
Glass bottles and jars
Steel, tin, and aluminum cans
Office paper and junk mail
Cereal and tissue boxes
