To apply for a City of Parkland Engineering Permit applicants must complete the required application and pay the appropriate fees. The form is available for pickup at the Building Department. The engineering permit fees are 2% of the anticipated construction cost for work related to water and sewer and 5% of the anticipated construction cost for all other types of activity. In addition to the permit fees there is a plan review cost that varies from $150 (minimum) to in excess of $700 depending on the magnitude of the project size. A bond is typically required for new construction or work within a City of Parkland designated right of way. Bonding requirements are defined in Section 145-150 and 145-160 of the Code of Ordinance and information on the Bonding process (PDF) can be found here. View bond release information here (PDF). All bond release request must be processed through the City Clerk’s Department.
