Introduction to Gardening with Florida Natives

Tuesday, November 9, 2021

Learn why Florida Natives and Florida Friendly principals are such a great choice for our gardens here in Zone 10. We will also learn how to identify what is a Florida Native vs. Florida Friendly plant and why exotics are a poor choice for your yard. We will look at examples of Florida Native gardens and discuss how to plan your garden space successfully. Carey Campbell an avid gardener who was a participant in the Master Gardener Volunteer training course (UF-IFAS/ Extension Broward County Education) in 2020 will lead this class. She grows herbs, vegetables and has pollinator gardens. Parkland Library card required to register. To register visit www.cityofparkland.org/library or call (954)757-4207.
