Brain Health: How to Be Proactive

Wednesday, May 1, 2019

Individuals who have concerns about their memory or who have a family history of dementia can be proactive in their brain health and potentially reduce their risk of developing neurodegenerative diseases. Marcia Walker, a research nurse practitioner at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University, will give an educational talk aimed at people ages 50 and up. She will discuss dementia prevention initiatives and explain what is offered at The Comprehensive Center for Brain Health at FAU. Attendees will also have the opportunity to gain more information about participation in the center’s program. Registration required. To register, please visit www.cityofparkland.org/library.
