Function


To provide accurate and timely information regarding the City of Parkland (City) issues, programs, events, and policies.  The Department, operating from a foundation of transparency and high ethical standards, works directly with City leadership in disseminating information and adhering to the requirements of Florida’s public records law (Statute 119).

Responsibilities


The Communications Department is responsible for the City’s social media presence which includes Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Nextdoor.  Communications staff are also responsible for the City’s weekly e-blast Parkland on Tap and the Parkland Library weekly e-blast in addition to all media relations with local, regional, national, and international media outlets.
