Florida-Friendly Landscape Guidance

"Which tree should I plant?" is perhaps the most common question asked by Parkland residents who are preparing to design landscape for their new home or make changes to their existing landscape.

A complete guide to Florida-Friendly Landscaping (FFL) has been provided by the University of Florida (UF), the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) Extension Service and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), in cooperation with the five water management districts. This is the gold standard for site-specific recommendations on trees, shrubs, and palms.

We invite you to utilize the FFL Guide to Plant Selection and Landscape Design (PDF) as your primary guide when selecting landscape for your property.
