Occupational Licensing
Home Occupation LicensesHome occupation is a home office used for telephone, computer & fax.
- No person other than members of the family residing on the premises shall be engaged in such home occupation
- There shall be no display of goods, machinery, equipment or any performance of work visible or audible from any street or adjoining property.
- No home occupation shall occupy an area greater than twenty (20) percent of the floor space of the residence.
- No home occupation may generate any traffic
To obtain a license for a Home Office the following documentation will be required:
- Copy of Florida Drivers License
- Broward County Occupational License
- Articles of Incorporation or Fictitious Name Affidavit
- A fee of $50.00 is charged
Business LicensesAll businesses are required to have a City of Parkland Occupational License and a Broward County Occupational License.
Fire Inspections are done annually.

Agricultural Exemptions
The City of Parkland has implemented a new Policy and Procedure for all agricultural exempted property within the City. When renewing an Occupational License, the applicant must provide the City with proof of the agricultural exemption along with a survey or sketch of the property. The survey or sketch must show all buildings on the property along with proper parking requirements for the business. This information will be required before the occupational license will be renewed. A zoning inspection is required along with the annual fire inspection and will be scheduled through the Occupational License Department. After the initial submission of the required documentation, this information will only be required at renewal if there is a change in ownership or structures have been added to the property.
