Multiuse Safe Trailways (M.U.S.T)

M.U.S.T. (Multi-Use Safe Trailsways for Parkland) is a 501©(3) organization formed in 1999, working as advocates for the trails within the City of Parkland. For five years MUST held annual Trailathons to raise awareness among the residents. M.U.S.T. used the monies raised at these Trailathons, to apply for matching fund grants from the City to purchase trail amenities.

MUST has successfully worked with three Mayors and many Commissioners to ensure that the Trails were being increased, enhanced and improved.

MUST has been very successful. The trail system in the City has increased from 8 miles of trails to more than 12 miles, not including the magnificent 5 mile trail on the perimeter of Heron Bay. Benches, picnic tables, trash receptacles, bike racks and a self watering horse trough have all been added to the city trails with the proceeds from our Trailathons.
