Description:
Parkland Teen Camp
is a summer recreation program for children ages 12 to 14 (grades 7-9).
They must have completed the sixth grade to be eligible for the program.
The program is located at Westglades Middle School for all sessions. The
program hours of operation are from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Extended hours
are not available. The camper to counselor ratio is 10 to 1 at Teen Camp.
Campers are chaperoned by adult senior counselors. The program is a Teen
Travel Camp. Field trips are taken aboard air-conditioned motorcoach buses.
Field trips are taken five days per week to faciliites located in the
tricounty area such as movies, bowling, waterparks, arcades, skating,
museums, etc. Basic field trips are included in the cost of the camp program.
In compliance with
the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the City of Parkland will honor
requests for reasonable accommodation made by individuals with disabilities.
The City does not provide services of a personal nature i.e. lifting,
toileting, feeding, dispensing medication, etc., which would fundamentally
alter the nature of the program. Please contact the city as far in advance

must include the following to be accepted:
- A Completed
Registration Form (including Release and Waiver). Registration forms can
be picked up at the Parkland City Hall, Parkland Library, and/or downloaded
from the city website (see below).
- Copy
of Proof of Residency (Parkland Resident Only)
- A $100.00
non-refundable, non-transferable deposit per applicant. Check or money
order must be written out to the City of Parkland.
