Information About Occupational Licenses

To ensure that all persons conducting business within the City's limits are licensed and possess proper documentation, every business within the City's municipal boundaries is required to obtain a City Occupational License. Occupational Licenses issued by the City are valid from October 1st to September 30th. Click here to view the application for an Occupational License.

As for properties that are agriculturally exempt, when renewing an Occupational License the applicant must provide the City with proof of the agricultural exemption along with a survey or sketch of the property. The survey or sketch must show all buildings on the property along with proper parking requirements for the business. This information will be required before an occupational license will be renewed. A zoning inspection is required along with the annual fire inspection and will be scheduled through the Planning and Zoning Department. After the initial submission of the required documentation, this information will be required at renewal only if there is a change in ownership or structures have been added to the property.
