Infotrac Student Edition
Infotrac Student Edition is an easy to use database for high school students who are need to locate information for research assignments. It contains full-text articles from 500 sources, including magazine and newspaper articles. It offers a simple display for browsing encyclopedias, magazines, maps, newspapers and reference materials. It is recommended for students who are looking for information on current events, the arts, science, popular culture, health, people, government, history and sports.
Students can run a Subject Search by simply entering a word or two and they'll retrieve list of every matching subject heading which leads to articles about the subject. The Keyword Search allows them to search the full-text of articles for matching words that they enter. To narrow your search results the Student Edition also comes equipped with the an Advanced Search engine. This makes it easy to run a search against specific fields or a combination of fields such author or journal to find an article that is right on point.
Student Edition comes equipped with an online version of the Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary so students can locate words when they are not sure of the correct spelling. It also comes equipped with a Tool Box which provides helpful tips for students who are writing reports.
