General Science eCollection

Although staying current on the latest scientific developments can be daunting, this collection aims to provide a researcher with the information to do just that. Composed of over 200 journals – from highly specialized academic journals to general science-focused magazine – the InfoTrac General Science Collection provides coverage of all scientific endeavor, including such topics as particle physics and quantum theory, advanced mathematics, biotechnology, and many more. Contains over 40 publications. Some full-text is available.

Users have several different ways to search the service:

Subject Guide is useful for locating articles by topic.

Relevance Search allows users to find articles by matching words in titles, citations, and abstracts, or in the entire text. The result list starts with the best matches according to how and where the words occur in articles.

Keyword Search allows you to browse for articles by matching words in titles, citations, and abstracts, or in the entire text. The result list runs from newest to oldest.

Advanced Search is useful for narrowing your search results, by using any of several indexes, alone or in combination.

Journal Search is useful for locating articles from a specific issue of a journal or newspaper. The results list displays in page number order.

This service is recommended for college students and professionals who are conducting scholarly research, as well as individuals who are trying to locate magazine articles.
