Open to Adults & Young Adults Grades 6 and up.

Introduction To The Internet (1 ½ hours).

This is a hands-on introductory class for people with little or no experience using the Internet. The maximum class size is 7 persons. Topics covered include:

• An overview of Internet services, such as email, chat and the World Wide Web.
• Tips on selecting an Internet Service Provider.
• How to read a web address.
• Overview of the types of programs and files that you are likely to encounter on the Internet.
• How to use a web browser (Internet Explorer).
• How to get around on a web page.
• Overview of various search engines that you can use to locate information on the World Wide Web.
• How to use Google.
