To mark Israel Independence Day, the Parkland Library hosts speaker Eric Lipetz, whose family fled from Belgium to the Philippines to the United States and then eventually settled in Israel in 1978. This remarkable story travels in time and place from Mr. Lipetz’s grandfather’s ashes in Auschwitz to his father’s dream of settling in Israel. Registration required. .
