Folliage At The Ranches Near The Equestrian Center

Environmental Resources Director: Brian Archer

The goal of the Environmental Resources Division is to maintain the splendor of the City of Parkland’s natural landscape. This division is dedicated to meeting the challenges of conserving the ecological integrity of Parkland. Our goal is to preserve and enhance the environmental features of the City through public awareness and environmental education. This division provides information about ecological and social issues of importantance to the City of Parkland, Broward County, and South Florida.

If you reside in a single family home or duplex you do not need a permit to plant trees, shrubs or flowers. If you reside in a multi-family building or you wish to plant in a common area, a permit is required. City permits may be obtained in our Building Department.

Your Homeowners Association may have stricter guidelines and may prohibit plantings. Be sure to obtain guidelines from them prior to planting.
