- What are the procedures for plan review?
- I have approved plans and need to make a plan change. What is the procedure?
Q: What are the procedures for plan review?
A: All plans submitted with a permit application must be reviewed for code compliance. Structural, Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical reviews are conducted by certified plans examiners within the Building Department, and plans are also reviewed by the Zoning Director, the Landscape Reviewer, and the City Engineer and Fire Marshall if required. Each plan submittal is routed to the appropriate divisions and departments based on the scope of the proposed work. [Back To Top]
Q: I have approved plans, and need to make a plan change. What is the procedure?
A: Fill out the Change-of-Plan cover sheet posted on this site, and submit this with the appropriate permit application(s), signed and sealed plan pages and / or details for plan review.
PLEASE NOTE: The licensed contractor(s) holding the permit(s) for the affected scope of work must sign the permit application which is submitted. The information on the cover sheet helps us to determine if there is work which has been inspected that is affected by this change and will require re-inspection, assures that all the appropriate pages have been submitted, and helps the Administrative Assistant to route the plans to each division, thereby reducing associated delays.
