2nd Update on Coyote - Information from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
The City has again been in contact with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (“FWC”) and its staff in the South Florida Regional Office stated that an investigator has confirmed the presence of Florida Coyotes in the City of Parkland. The FWC have confirmed that a small dog and a cat have been killed by a coyote but the horse was not injured by a coyote. The FFW feel that the horse was spooked and the wounds are superficial as a result of the horse running into a fence.
