To the Citizens of Parkland,
As with most of you, the City of Parkland is facing continued uncertain economic times. Due to deteriorating economic conditions in such sectors as housing, retail sales and jobs, the City is facing another budget deficit. Reduced property values, increased foreclosures and the impacts of Chinese Drywall are all affecting the City's financial forecast. The City's budget is your budget and your input into how we together can develop solutions that allow essential services to continue while reducing costs is requested. Participation in this forum is the first step in opening a dialogue on the budget decisions that the City is facing. Please respond with your suggestions.
