Parkland Kids Camp
Welcome to the Parkland Kids Camp! Open to children in grades K-5. At the Parkland Kids Camp we offer a wide variety of games and activities for your child. Each week we will venture off site and explore the world of Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach Counties.
With many changes this summer, please be sure to read all information on this page and check back often for any updates as the calendar is subject to change.
Parents are encouraged to register early for the Parkland Kids Camp. Registration can be done at the Parkland Recreation and Enrichment Center (P-REC) located next to the Parkland Amphitheater at 10559 Trails End. To reserve your child's space in camp we will require payment of 50% of your total balance. The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than May 21.
Payments can be made with cash, check, money order, Visa or MasterCard.
Parents will be allowed to select any weeks in the (7) seven week camp program pending availability. Please note the weeks you will be attending on your registration form. This will ensure that we have accurate information.
The cost of camp will include before and after care. No additional fees if you need to drop off early or pick up late. We will keep you little one entertained. Structured camp hours are from 9:00am - 4:00pm.
The City of Parkland does not offer a second child discount. Additionally, there is a no refund policy.
Drop Off and Pick Up
Parents can drop children off any time after 7:30am and pick up as early as 4:00pm or as late as 5:30pm. Parents will be required to show identification and sign their child out of the camp program. Only those listed on your authorization form will be allowed to escort your child from the Summer Camp Program. At no time will we release your child through a car line. Please understand that this is for the safety of your children.
The City of Parkland adheres to a 10:1 camper to counselor ratio. All of our counselors have been hand selected and background checked. Additionally, camp staff has been trained in CPR/First Aid.
On-Site Days and Special Events
We have some amazing activities planned for your campers throughout the summer. We can't give all our secrets away but we can tell you that your child will enjoy, dress up days, dance parties, bounce houses, arts and crafts, water games, and a TON more!
We will communicate the theme each week via newsletters and encourage your child to participate in all activities. For additional information regarding on-site days and special events please feel free to speak with the Camp Site Supervisor.
Each week campers will travel offsite to selected locations. Please note that these locations are subject to change. In cases of rainy weather we have a backup plan to see the latest movie, visit the local bowling alley, or the GameRoom. Campers will travel in an air conditioned coach buses for their travels.
Campers will be given a T-Shirt that is required for all field trip days. Shirts will be available for purchase once the summer camp program begins.
Here is your chance to meet your counselors before the first day of camp! Check out your homeroom and see which friends you get to spend the summer with. Join us at Heron Heights on Thursday, June 14 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. Campers will also receive their camp shirts at this time.
