Welcome to the Readers' Advisory Center!  Below, you will find numerous sites that may help you find books to read and enjoy.  All the websites are free to use and are up-to-date.  Click on the name of the site to visit the page.

GoodReads is an excellent site to find high-grade suggestions for notable books.  You may create a free account to begin compiling a collection of titles you have read, titles you are reading, or titles you want to read.  The site will provide insightful suggestions based on your reading history and interests.  You may also look through the various award-winning book lists, view readers' ratings, compare books with friends, or even join an online book club.

BookBrowse

With BookBrowse, you can find the newest books and the latest suggestions.  You may sign up for one of the various newsletters that show notable and recommended books.  The website also features a Read-Alike system, which allows you to find suggested reading based on what your favorite books or authors (if you enjoyed this ... you may also like this...).

EarlyWord

EarlyWord provides consistently updated reading lists, weekly suggestions, best seller reviews, and watch lists for the latest and most popular books.  You may sign up for the newsletter to read about prominent novels and upcoming releases, or follow EarlyWord through a variety of social media platforms to receive constant updates.

Book Riot

With daily articles, podcasts, and videos that look into fictional and nonfictional books of all genres, Book Riot provides strong recommendations for what you should read next.  The site also features a spectrum of daily newsletters, a plethora comic reviews, and a variety of witty articles to keep readers up-to-date and entertained.

Good Books

Good Books is a high-quality publisher of a variety of texts, covering topics such as cooking, crafts, gardening, justice, and religion. It provides a search feature that allows you to explore its published titles by subject, author, collection, and series. Good Books also features updated and annotated lists of newly released and forthcoming books.

Fantastic Fiction

Fantastic Fiction provides bibliographies and biographies for thousands of fiction authors.  You may search for an author by name and find the books, accompanied by descriptions, that he or she has written.  You can also find lists of the newest books, the newest authors, the most popular books, and the most popular authors.

What Should I Read Next?

"What Should I Read Next?" is an excellent read-alike site that displays books you may enjoy based on what you have read.  Simply enter the title or author of a book you particularly enjoyed, and the site will find similar books.

Shelf-Awareness

Shelf-Awareness publishes a newsletter twice-a-week (Tuesdays and Fridays) to help readers explore and discover notable titles handpicked by experts and librarians.

Booklist Online


Booklist Online is a great resource to find award-winning and suggested books.  It places strong emphasis on its 180,000 book reviews, newsletters, webinar sessions, and various lists of award-winning books.

Literary Guild


With Literary Guild, you may browse through a large selection of literature, ranging from fictional mystery to nonfictional history.  You may also explore the variety of bestsellers, suggested books, and debuted texts the site features.
